Kit list for longer off-road trips where re-supply is problematic and self sufficiency is more important. This is a list of stuff I took on a training trip on the South Downs Way and for a week in the Highlands. It’s by no means comprehensive and as always there’s stuff I would change for the next trip, namely packing highly waterproof bags and taking synthetic over down for extended warmth in the rain.
Brand choice is obviously subjective and this list can definitely be fulfilled by parting with a lot less cash. This said however I’ve included specific products as I assume if you’re here, like me, you enjoy a good geek out on reviews and specifications.
